As you can see I have shrinked the distro to 1 CD. The default desktop from now on is XFCE and you can still run KDE applications. In this release you will find 106 updates and 20 fixes, Linux kernel 2.6.23.9 with GrSecurity also the precompiled kernel supports from 1 up to 8 processors. Major packages like snort, iptables, firewall scripts and others were updated. And as always have a look at the Changelog:

I couldn't get the last version to recognize my ethernet card. I couldn't even get Slackware 12.0 to even boot on any of my machines. So I figured that my future with Netsecl was pretty grim.
I had the usual problems with screens and some difficulty with netconfig, but it works.
Now I will have to figure out how to use this xfce desktop and get the firewall working. It's good to be back.

Hi John,
Good to see you. Can you please tell me what is your ethernet card? Which problems with screens? Netconfig - problems during setup or after the setup? |
